The Conditional Deposit Agreement, signed on 6th June 2025 by Mr Anwar Hussain Chaudhry, marks a pivotal and strategic advancement for Developing World Healthcare. It represents a legally binding commitment by the landowner to the transfer of 19 Kanal (1.5 acres) of Shamlat Deh land in Sahib Chak, District Mirpur, AJK—the intended site for the construction of Kashmir Hospital DWH. The date of signing not only formalises the legal assurances previously negotiated but also confirms the culmination of the charity’s extensive and carefully executed due diligence process.
This signature, secured after the provision of key documentation—Fard Malkiat, Registered Power of Attorney, NICOPs, and a Sworn Affidavit—is evidence of the landowner’s full legal authority, the absence of third-party claims, and local community support. As part of our legal safeguarding, the charity required the landowner to physically assert control over the site by installing a perimeter boundary wall and constructing an on-site room—measures that have now been completed. These steps, together with the signed agreement, reinforce our legal and ethical standing and protect the interests of our stakeholders and donors.
By finalising this agreement on 06/06/2025, the charity has met the compliance thresholds set by the UK Charity Commission, adhered to the Charities Act 2011, and aligned with the land and property regulations of both Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir. This milestone provides a secure foundation to progress confidently into architectural planning and forthcoming public fundraising, with full assurance that the land is now under robust legal agreement for charitable development.
